For Name’s Sake

Last week I saw a graphic tee shirt with a skull on it and holes in it for $109. Let me repeat in case you missed the part about a tee shirt costing $109! It’s from a brand called Rogues Gallery, and if you haven’t heard of this brand yet- don’t worry, you will.

There are many other exclusive tee shirt brands that will be charging that price or even higher for a 100% cotton graphic tee. And no, the graphic is not 18k gold either.  These are sometimes one-of-a-kind or two-of-a-kind tees that can be found in the darkest of boutique stores across larger cities in America. Now if you live in Ohio, don’t worry, cause the Old Navy store nearest you may have something very similar looking. Good thing too as the $109 might be a little scary to spend on 9 ounces of cotton. Keep reading, as you will find you can still get a great looking graphic tee for a very reasonable price.

Over the past few years a new phenomenon in graphic tees has hit the market.

Rogue Gallery                     Trovatta                      Threadless

First off, they’re everywhere! You can buy a graphic tee in any store in the mall, any vendor on the street and at any web site that sells clothing. Secondly, you can find these tees in all graphics, all conditions and all prices. There are the crème de la crème brands; Rogues Gallery for instance is quite the investment ranging from $80- $150. Funny thing with that is the tee already looks like it was worn 50 plus times! Trovata sells there scenic printed tees for around $45- $75.  Rogan prints their very controversial graphics on a tee for $70.  Or you could go for the all-organic graphic tee from Loomstate for $85!  Now if you want to avoid the intimidation of spending a day’s worth of your salary on a graphic tee, there are other options!

Just about any clothing brand is making graphic tees. You could go to a Target store and spend $20- $40 on a number of different brands. Now these won’t be designer brands but they’ll still look good and have a cool print on them. If you are lucky enough to have an Urban Outfitters in your city, stand back for a minute and look at their wall of graphic tees all of which look vintage and are around $30 bucks! Another option would be the amazing website, Threadless.com. This website caters to the men and women who have to be wearing cool looking tees at all times of the day or night. They have 75-100 different prints in different colors and at different prices. The three great things about Threadless.com are; you will never spend over $30 per tee, the tees are mainly good quality and they are always adding cool new designs.

GO THERE NOW!!

So you see, you can look cool in your vintage graphic tee and you don’t have to spend a huge amount of money. Now you know that many of the graphic tee art are very similar across both high priced brands and cheaper brands. The tee shirt may not be falling apart like the higher priced designer ones, but I guarantee you’ll get something very similar for about a third of the price.
