Unique Dates for Valentines D'ay Ideas
Traditional is great... for grandpas. But wouldn't you rather be a Casanova of the 21st Century? This day in age it is not hip to be square. Why not try something different this Valentine's Day? Instead of dinner, a movie and the usual ubiquitous dozen roses, try some of these unique ideas that are guaranteed to wow your woman.
1). Dinner at Home
Valentine’s Day is about the two of you, no one else. So, why hang out in a crowed restaurant when you both can be alone and cozy at home? To make this night one she won’t forget, cook for her. Make a meal she is sure to love. And, for that extra touch, design a menu—complete with descriptions of the appetizer, main course and dessert.

If you need some help deciding what to cook, visit www.epicurious.com. This comprehensive website has great recipes for all tastes. They even have a section with complete Valentine’s Day menus for guys who need some extra help. Whip up something that will knock her clothes … I mean socks off. And, don’t forget the wine!

2). Spa Night
Most women love to be pampered. It’s a known fact. So, when your girl gets home from work or running errands, here is what to do to ensure a steamy Valentine’s Day.

First, greet her by the door dressed in something sexy, a suit and tie is always a nice touch. Tell her that tonight is all about her, and lead her to a hot bath with a glass of champagne already poured. Have warm towels by the bathtub ready for when she comes out. If you have some extra cash lying around, buy her a comfy bathrobe and surprise her with your thoughtfulness. If your bathtub is big enough you can heat up the water with her. If you tub is barely big enough for one then let her relax and go onto the next step.

If you really want to impress your girl prepare a “spa” treatment for her. Quality spa products make all the difference. So if your credit card isn’t maxed out feel free to put it on the plastic. Otherwise, if your card is still regretting Christmas purchases pick up some less costly products at a mall Bath and Body Works store. Simply inform a female staff member that you want some spa products for your girlfriend for Valentine’s Day. Not only will you get the “awww, what a perfect boyfriend” look, she will do all the work for you. Before you know it, your basket will be full, and you will be ready to check out.

Set the mood by lighting aromatherapy candles and have the bed ready. Have your girl lie down on the bed, and proceed to give her a backrub using your spa products, such as oils or lotions. Be sure to spend time and effort massaging your lady. Make sure she is enjoying your touch.

From here the possibilities are endless!

3). Her Day
Put your girl’s wants ahead of your own for Valentine’s Day. Be generous. Ignore your first instincts, and put the day in her hands. Simply ask her what she wants to do. And, oh yeah—do it!

If she wants to go to the zoo, take her to the zoo. If she wants to go to shopping all day at the mall, take her to that godforsaken place. If she wants to spend the entire day under the covers, widows drawn, phone off the hook, making love to the wee hours of the night—lucky you. Make her day!

Valentine’s Day is what you make it. Don’t make it a V-day like the ones before (yawn!), buy her the overpriced roses and take her to that cheesy, played-out Italian restaurant. Instead make it a unique day filled with smiles and warmth, take our advice, and do something different for your girl this Valentine’s Day.

By the way: Did you know that many women throw their diets out the window on V-Day, and actually look forward to splurging on gooey chocolate? So, excluding this as a Valentine’s gift would be cruel and unusual punishment; and unless you and your girl are into cruel and unusual punishment (who are we to judge?), do not ditch the chocolates.
Enough said.
