Junior year. Biology class. Very, very serious teacher. One morning, a fellow student would look in my direction, and get a surprised look in his eyes. But for fear of getting caught laughing, he would stop short and stifle it, leaving a nothing but heaving shoulders. Then, he nudged is neighbor, and the sequence would start all over.

Within two minutes, all the class was sneaking peeks at me each time the teacher turned toward the chalkboard, and half of them were in tears from holding back the laughter.... until someone finally cracked into a full-blown BWAHAHA, and the laughter spread outward like a supersonic ripple across the room.

I thought Mr. M would be majorly pissed and blame me. Detention for sure. Then he looked in my direction, and just buckled.

It turns out that I had an eight-inch booger hanging from my nose. I didn't know it because it was in that part of my vision blocked by the frame of my eyeglasses. Every time I looked up from my note taking or turned my head to look at someone, the nasty yellow-green pendulum would flail about.
