Permanent Black is a screamo hardcore band from the San Francisco Bay Area. The band started out of the ashes of 2 other bands and a tremendous amount of frustration with the current music scene. Permanent Black brings energy to the stale scene that has become obsessed with posturing and fashion.
Completely D.I.Y., they have released 2 full length albums (Lights Out & Batesian Mimicry) and toured the western United States. Permanent Black live shows are not something that can be conveyed on a CD. The shows are filled with passion, chaos, broken strings, torn vocal chords, and loud amplifiers.
